Lisa is licensed to provide Marriage & Family Therapy to individuals, couples, and families in the state of North Carolina. This means that clients can come to her physical office in NC, or if they reside in NC, virtual sessions are available. Marriage & Family Therapy focuses on treating mental and emotional disorders by focusing on the systems and dynamics of families and relationships. As an MFT, Lisa works with individuals, couples, and families to improve communication, develop coping strategies, and address relational and behavioral issues within a broader systemic context. Lisa uses various psychotherapy approaches to help improve family dynamics. MFT requires a diagnosis. Lisa does not file insurance claims. The client is welcome to submit a request for reimbursement to their insurance carrier and navigate reimbursement with said carrier.
Lisa is licensed to provide addiction and substance use counseling to individuals in North Carolina. Lisa recommends in-person sessions for addiction counseling, but virtual sessions are available to clients in North Carolina. As an LCASA, Lisa is licensed to diagnose co-occurring substance use and mental health diagnoses. Counseling is not a substitute for in-patient or out-patient treatment. It does provide an opportunity to explore the possible causes of one's addiction, create a treatment plan, set goals, and counseling provides support as people navigate healing and growth. Addiction counseling requires a diagnosis. Lisa does not file insurance claims. The client is welcome to submit a request for reimbursement to their insurance carrier and navigate reimbursement with said carrier.
